The Biggest Self Help Secret

This article is going to talk about something that no other Self Help or Self Improvement Gurus want you to know! There are a million articles you can read, you can invest tons of dollars in “Self-Help” programs, Life Coaching, Alternative Therapies, the list goes on and on forever. What you really need to know, you’ve all ready been told and not only is it the perfect answer, but it’s free!

We have all been the unfortunate victims of being lead astray. I am here to ask you to consider becoming a survivor, and a victim no more! There is no one to blame for our victimisation; it’s been a hideous misunderstanding from the beginning of time itself. We are probably all to blame in some way or the other. We can change that too!

You see, we’ve all been brought up being told what we “should” be and do, what we “shouldn’t” be and do. We grew up encouraged to believe that our parents had all the answers, or our school, or church, or friends, or society in general. We have learned to look at everything outside of ourselves in order to live our life “right” and find the happiness we are looking for.

We have lost the most precious thing in the world. Society as a whole is becoming more and more stressed out. The health and well being industry is booming. Everyone from stay at home Mums to Dr. Phil have an opinion about what you need to do, what you “should” do, how to fix you. Read their articles, buy their books, and go on their retreats, and you’ll be splendid. But it rarely works out that way.

All of these well-meaning people out there helping us help ourselves need to be given some sort of credit. I’m one of those people myself. In truly helping you help yourself though; I need to be completely honest with you. You are the only one that can possibly know what it is that you need to be a happy and fulfilled person.

Everything you need to know about life is inside of you. Some call it your “inner voice”, “intuition”, “conscious”, or “instincts”. You can call it whatever you want, or nothing at all. There is Something inside of you that has the answers for you.

The biggest problem is that we are not being taught to listen to ourselves properly. We keep seeking outside help, opinions, waiting for others to tell us what we need to do to get the happiness and relief from stress. The more we listen to others, the more we forget that we are truly the only ones that know what is right and best for ourselves.

With this information in mind, let me ask you to decide if you really even want to face yourself? This is a time to get very honest. Many of us are running fast and hard from having anything to do with having to look deeply at ourselves. Addictions are amok in the race to escape facing the truth about who or what we have allowed ourselves to become.

Its only after you’ve made the decision that you are tired of all the running and chasing, the fear and worry, that you will be able to begin reconnecting to the deepest parts of you. It’s okay to be afraid. Just don’t let that stop you. This is your life that your taking control of!

The first effort that needs to be focused on is learning how to listen to yourself again. Please don’t wait breathlessly waiting for me to tell you how to do that. I can only tell you what works for myself to give you ideas. The rest you need to do by yourself.

Many people rely on meditation. The goal is to clear the mind and maintain a better awareness of what is happening outside of the mental activities. Reflection, prayer, just being quite in your head is very helpful. I ask myself important questions and look at what is going on in my life. What do I like? What do I not like? What do I want to be? I don’t think about it; I just listen for the answers that come from my heart. You might like to try some or all of these ideas for yourself.

Seven Self Improvement Tips That Will Make A Difference

For people who are through it, they can tell you that self improvement is a journey. It all depends on where one is starting from. The most necessary thing though is getting that first step out of the way.

Self improvement comes with the fulfilment that comes from understanding oneself. It is through this understanding that you get to grasp your place within the universe and your role here. You can understand that not everything has got to be a struggle; you can achieve success, be happy and fulfil your mission.

As I have studied self improvement over the years, I've picked out 7 self improvement tips that are a must for you to implement so that you'll see yourself started on the journey of private growth. I'm going to share them with you in this blog.

Daily Journaling

Have you ever ever wondered how we know the thoughts and feelings of past great achievers? True, some observers wrote about them, but most of the stories and details that we know about them could only have come from themselves. They are a translation of their thoughts on to paper. They kept journals and recorded their observations and their feelings.

For you, a journal is more than a map of your journey. It helps to clarify your thoughts, to think more clearly and to truly see where your thinking could take you.You can then see how you need to improve. Once you record one thing it becomes more than a fleeting thought. Tomorrow, you may look back and see how you felt, and you'll compare that with how you are feeling now and you'll be able to go ahead and make adjustments.

Meditation

This is often the one that's considered the least by most people, but it also happens to be the most important of the 7 self improvement tips. Meditation is the most effective and handiest manner of reducing stress and clearing out your system. You dispose of junk thoughts and best of all, you leave the area in there for clean, clear thinking. It additionally has direct health advantages; you'll slow down your heart beat and improve digestion simply by meditating for a few minutes every day. You will sleep better and heal faster. Essentially, mediation is that the pillar of the seven self improvement tips - it is the one that makes all the others effective.

Expecting to Win

Of the seven self improvement tips, this one is the hardest to clarify because some folks just do not seem to listen to it. You must change your thinking so that you tune yourself in to expecting positive results. What's the difference that you need to focus on for your success to what you're thinking now? How will you get rich and be happy if every outcome you expect is negative? Some people are quick to argue now, however what they don't understand is that along with their positive thoughts are a ton of negative thoughts that have an effect on outcomes.

Expectations aren't regarding outcomes. They're concerning bold, right action and knowing that the results will be in your favour no matter what they can be.

Writing Goals and Plans of Action

A written goal is sort of a map. Let me challenge you right now to jot down down a tiny goal, one thing that is inconsequential and to who's outcome you are not attached and stick it where you'll be able to see it every day. The instant you see your goal, you see plans of action concerning it starting to form. You'll find  yourself spurred into action to try and do the right thing. Look back after thirty days and see how far along your written goal you've come. Did it help to write down it?

I can challenge you that every time you are feeling in a rut and like things are not working out for you, pull out your goal book and begin by ticking off how many of them you have achieved and then add new ones. You will always come out with a clearer mind.

Be well Rounded

All areas of your life contribute to your self improvement. Your relationships, your health, your finances, will all affect any kind of private growth you are attempting to attain if they're out of balance. Simply if any one of them is going badly it can lead to any or all of them going bad. As you seek to begin on a personal development, work on all areas. - work on maintaining physical stamina, emotional fortitude, financial security and a smart social support system to realise personal growth.

Positive Affirmations

This has the power to alter your inner dialogue, and it is a powerful tool considering that much of the discontent in our lives is caused by inner dialogue. What do you advise yourself? Start to write down an affirmation daily on all key areas of your life and speak it aloud twice daily. You are teaching you subconscious positive dialogue.

Teach to Learn

Of the 7 self improvement tips, this one is the one that will help you master self improvement the most. You learn something better after you teach it. As you teach, your inner mind opens therefore that you'll be in a position to digest and transmit information. Whatever you were trying to teach will be sitting there in your mind forever. Teaching is also a manner of holding yourself accountable - there are specific standards expected of academics so that students will follow in their steps. If you've got no one to teach, then write!
